raro sent me this verse one day when i thought my life was going to crumble before me...

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

and tonight after dinner, another friend, tomo, sent me this verse

John 16:33 "I have told you these things so that in me, you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world"

It was really uplifting and even at times when i'm a bit unsure of things, I have this god who has this amazing and flawless plan for me. i think it's cool how god doesnt make mistakes, and all these little trials are just tiny tiny bumps in his magnificent plans for me so that i dont get too bored on the way!

I'm looking forward to the school trip next week. wed, thurs, and friday. while chess is living it up in an exclusive fishing lodge up north, i will be toughing it out in backpackers' down south :P and the thing is we're both going to have our own fun. CHESS OH RL: FOUR MORE FLIPPING DAYS till your papa and mama comes!! i look forward i guess to bonding with friends and getting to know them better because despite the fact that most of us see each other everyday, a lot of our friendships are somewhat on a superficial level because we just dont have the opportunity to sit down and have nice deep chats like we used to have in MG. for many people, because it's university-style, people only come to class for lessons, and leave after that. no such thing as hanging around between classes, during breaks or after school. I remember how free periods in MG meant bonding time with classmates and close friends when we would just sit in a group and talk and talk. it's no longer the same here, and i guess i miss that depth in friendships here. but i know the people here are genuine and kind.

today i was walking up the stairs behind chess and in front of tomu and the funniest thing happened!! :D i decided to be sneaky and hid behind the corner of the stairs and watching tomu from the reflection off a glass window, i waited till he was coming right round the corner and i jumped up and BOO-ed him! and i swear he screamed like a girl! ahahahaa i nearly died laughing and he was like OH MA GAAAAAWWWWWD! and it was such thrill and chess figures we probably gave him enough adrenaline rush for him double english next. :D :D
