today for our bio lab we went to brighton beach to look at ecosystem. ecccchhh! think decomposing seaweed in salty air. haha, and i nearly lost my slipper when the tide came by and i found myself stranded on a little island rock.

we had some friends over for dinner tonight---tomu, tom, tomono and yuichi---all jap friends. it was hilarious and good bonding time over chinese food. it was really cute because they were telling us about games they used to play as children and it's really cute. they are all really nice, genuine and kind people and im so pleased we're friends with them.

i have been able to smell the holidays since wednesday, and now that its here, im happier than ever. but i know its going to pass by rlly quickly so for my sanity and chessy's sake, i wish time next week crawls...
