Health Sciences First Year

Well darlings, while waiting for Hans to call, I shall finally seize the opportunity to update this dead blog.

Sorry for taking for long to update my blog, I thought that a new layout (do you like it? =D THANKS BEX!) would make me feel like updating a bit more, but since leaving Sg, I have been too busy.

Popped by Sydney again for 3 nights and had a really good time. Good as in, nice-hot-summery-weather and smoked-salmon-on-crackers-for-breakfast sort of Good. Heh (: I did a little bit more shopping and thank god we made it through check-in without having to pay for excesses (despite being preeedy overweight)

The first few days being back happened really fast and only after a few days did it slowly sink in - I am back in Dunedin for another year of study. Yikes and Yay, really. I have still been on holiday though, save for a few rounds of paperwork that had to be done and a preliminary lecture to attend on Friday. Lectures officially start on Monday, and tutorials and labs the following week. There are 1608 students in my year, imagine. I fail to fathom the amount competition to get into Med or Dent :/

It feels SO weird to come back to Dunedin and not have Chess here with me. So Chixy, this is for you! On the first night, it felt weird not going into your room to arrange what time to go down into town the following morning. In the bathroom, it felt very empty not seeing your green toiletries bag on the metal cart. In the kitchen the next morning, it felt very weird not preparing your milo for you. Even for Hans, he says its weird not running to your room and screeching cheeesieeee!!!! Sigh, it really is a new year.

My timetable this year is a bit bizarre compared to the monotonous 9-4pms and 10-5pms that we had in FY. This year, on Mon I only have classes from 4-6pm, but on Thur, I have classes from 9-9pm. Beat that. Hahaha, I wonder how I am going to manage.

I really hope I make lots of new friends this year. It's hard always having to leave friends behind when you fly to NZ. Aiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :(
