first day of spring..

..and i hope it lasts...

we had perfect weather today, the air was warm, and there was some sunshine. even at night after dinner the air was really warm and i only needed two relatively thin layers. i hope the weather stays this way..

i didn't realise Hurricane Katrina was so devastating and i didn't realise what a huge tragedy this is. i admit being very very sheltered here, i haven't caught the news in days, and i don't read the papers so the only news i got of it was on the radio in the mornings in my three-quarter-groggy state. nothing registered obviously. i hope the victims get their lives back together really soon...

we have a cordless phone set here that i have been using (but only the main one) , and the complement set has been sitting on my floor because i had no clue how to synchronise the two sets. so its been a few months and finally mum in singapore emails to say she's found the instruction manual. i couldn't wait and asked co to scan me the relevant pages. it took me FOREVER to understand the instructions and after a long long time, it is now all set up! thanks to co! now the chesky handset is in chessy's room and we can make like internal calls to each other anytime! hohoho, the possibilities all this holds. =D

i can't wait for the weekend, seriously. only two hours of lectures tmr and im (sort of)free for the weekend. i have to get moving on my long essay, practise and perfect the presentation for my seminar, get as much chem as i can done, and revise for math test next week. oh Lord give me strength.
