[update] a macchiato at 5pm by accident, and 7.5h later and im sitting up in bed after a failed attempt at trying to sleep. i am annoyed cos i need my sleep. and a bigger annoyance is a bite of somesort on my toe and its a crazy sensation! a bite on my finger or on a toe leaves me all scratchy and painful. so that plus slow-release caffeine in my body is a grumpy jo in bed. poo! hahaha. serves me right really.
chess and i had another crazy crazy day. back to back activities, im finally sitting in bed trying to relax before sleeping but i just did my laundry so my heart is pumping really fast and its weird. hahahaa.
so this was our today:
morning-church
afternoon-organising party for twins (read below)
evening-english group research meeting
night- night church!
today was very very satisfying. tiring but extremely worth it. chessy and i helped our ex-hostmum organise a party for her twins who turned 14 and it was pretty cool. if you don't already know, one twin (peter) is autistic and the other (andrew) is alright but still has tiny fragments of his twin's autism. basically, it was a bit of a challenge for chessy and i in terms of organising party games cos kids here grow up very fast and yeahhh we're not exactly pros at entertaining preteens.
initially it was really hard breaking the ice, and everyone was just hanging around uncomfortably wishing they were not where they were. and the twins were...well, just the twins. they can pretty much go about their own things on their own and they don't appreciate company as much as others do. so anyway, chess and i made up impromptu games and even a treasure hunt! and that was cool. i think the games etc were pathetic, but yeah. hahaha, the food went down really well, and after talking we got to know the kids really well. the kids are very very sweet. despite peter and andrew's slight disabilities (correct word??), they are very very patient and kind and always take time to explain things to them. i reckon they are more patient and lovelier than i ever was at their age. so yes, after that the boys got to watch star wars and the girls made rings made from beads, and chess and i had to leave for our meeting. but it was really nice getting to meet the twin's friends and being reassured that they're well taken care of in school.
alright i should be off now. i have a crazy week ahead! xoxoxo
deeeeee: miss you chick! u must save a day for me when i get back ok? muah!
