i think the hardest part about being in a foreign country is the culture shock. but for me, it seems to be multiple shocks because im in a school with people from so many different nationalities. it's not so much the culture shock of like seeing people do different things to what you are used to, but more like you yourself doing something to inadvertently offend someone irreversibly.

i have made many close friends here from cultures other than my own, and i'm terrified of offending them and making them mad because of my childish impulsiveness. sometimes i'm a bit ADHD-ish and i don't think hard enough before i do something! today i had a little scare, but it turned out to be okay. thank god for open-minded friends, and i myself must be open-minded.
