i have been sick for four days, i really hope i get better soon. it's no fun lugging your ass around in school when you feel like crap, i'm so glad i stayed over because i felt gross today so i stayed home to rest. i keep coughing and snivelling and its really gross. i am germ central of 23 kaka road and i feel very sorry for everyone around me.
i felt SOO guilty going to school yesterday. i was really sick and coughing badly and sniffing and i was so sad during bio because vicki was talking about bacteria and viruses and i felt like the scum of the earth there and then.
raro im soooooooo happy i got to talk to you! ahahahaa, im sorry for your phone bill, but next time it'll be my turn to call :) i have quite a lot again to tell you (even though its only been a night since i spoke with you), and i will email you again when i feel up to it.
during english, we were asked what we wanted to do in university, and as the teacher went round the class, it was like medicine medicine medicine physiotherapy physiotherapy medicine medicine medicine dentistry i duno(me) medicine medicine medicine medicine pharmacy... and i nearly died. the majority of the medicine and dentistry dreams came from the saudi scholars and the chinese (china china) students. this year, there was about 1500+ students enrolled into health science first year, and next year, out of all them, only about 180 students will get into medicine and another 180 in dentistry. there are SOOOOO many students to compete(i hate to use this word) with, i really really have my work cut out for me this year and next year. oh my.
this is especially for those who know what im talking about.... :)
remember in school, how out of the 30+ in class, there would be the handful in class who were the "extra-zealous" sort of student? it is seen in every class in every single level. admirable no doubt, but also the tiniest bit overbearing at times with their enthusiasm and spark. anyhow, if you thought it was the tiniest bit overbearing in singapore, YOU SHOULD GET YOUR BUTT HERE AND CHECK MY CLASS OUT! hhahahahaa. it is expected that with students of varying ages and from many different countries, some come to study with extensive knowledge of the subject and some with the bare minimum. not so bad (but still present) in my class, but way worse in lectures. in front of lots of people, some students just can't contain their excitement and they just shout out answers and try to finish of teachers' sentences. its so funny and sometimes i do feel a bit embarrassed for them. the bio lecturer even said the last lecture "now hold on a minute, and allow ME to teach" ok i should just shut up now. if youre reading this, dont feel offended cos its a very general statement and im not gunning anyone specific down.
ok im off now! xoxo ciao errrbody!
